Synopsis

First Dawn

We are proud to present to you our first straight play under our new Plays Direct brand, entitled First Dawn, written by Mona Ombogo-Scott. Set in present day Africa, the story highlights on the constant conflict and dilemma each of us face in our search for our identity. It is a call for us to embrace everything we are and everything we were and everything we have the potential to be without apology. It is a call for each of us who is able, to reach out and lend a hand to our brothers in need. It is a call to return to our past that we might see more clearly our future. The First Dawn is an analogy of us, the African child. 

The show will be staged on the 27th, 28th and 29th of July 2007 at the Alliance Française. The Friday 27th show will be at 7 p.m., while the Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th shows will be at 3 p.m.  Tickets are available at the door at KShs. 300 per show.
